Mark’s Unique Approach

Mark is pleased to announce that he is transitioning his practice from litigation to helping parties resolve cases through mediation.  Mark’s approach to mediation begins with a phone call to each opposing counsel well before the mediation so that issues can be identified and authority obtained to make the mediation process efficient and productive.  Mark also is dedicated to following up on mediations which are unsuccessful in an effort to keep the parties negotiating towards an acceptable resolution.

Mark’s Philosophy

Mark recognizes that most of his practice has been advocating for plaintiffs.  However, Mark attributes his success to his ability to see and analyze both sides of the issues.  This gives him an ability to explain to a plaintiff the advantage of settling a case in mediation rather than going to trial, as well as articulating the weaknesses that a defendant may have.  Mark has also striven to maintain a respectful and cordial rapport with defense attorneys. 

Mark’s Education and Experience

After graduating cum laude from Arizona State University Law School in 1987, Mark spent one year doing insurance defense work at a large Phoenix law firm, O’Connor Cavanaugh. He practiced on his own for two years before joining with his brother Wayne in July of 1990 to form Arnett & Arnett, P.C.  Learn more about Mark here.
